Description


We are looking for an Anti-Spam Detection Engineer who will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving our detection capabilities that mitigate malicious email and messaging content at scale. You must have strong analytical skills and an ability to quickly understand patterns within big datasets, which translate to deploying robust measures to address abuse-related activities. You will work closely with data scientists, security engineers, platform developers, operations, and cross-functional partners to create detection strategies that balance accuracy and timeliness to deliver a safe and secure user experience. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, pro-active and results-driven. You should be detail-oriented and have a strong commitment to protecting our users from new and emerging threats. Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 6 years of experience in software development and 3 years in email security , threat intelligence, or related security domains. Strong understanding of email-related protocols (SMTP , SPF, DKIM, DMARC, ARC, etc.) Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python) for data analysis, automation, and rule development. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications


Experience working on large-scale email platforms, messaging systems, or anti-abuse programs. Knowledgeable at writing rules/signatures for security tools that target adversarial evasion techniques. Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and techniques (e.g., classification, anomaly detection) applied to cybersecurity problems or detection models Experience with security incident response and root cause analysis Experience with Splunk for log analysis.
