Business Program Management Specialist

As a Business Program Management Specialist, you will own, execute, and continuously optimize digital safety and Responsible AI operational processes end‑to‑end, and oversee moderation operations delivered through a blended model of internal teams and external vendors. This role is deeply execution‑oriented and risk‑focused, combining operational rigor, systems thinking, and cross‑functional leadership to reduce real‑world harms and ensure Microsoft meets its safety and regulatory commitments at scale.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

• Own key aspects of the overall health, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of digital safety, Responsible AI, and moderation operations across Microsoft’s search and AI platforms.
• Translate policy requirements, risk assessments, and regulatory obligations into clear, scalable, and auditable operational processes.
• Design and implement structured processes that enable consistency, compliance, and efficiency across global operations.
• Ensure the consistent execution of operational workflows across geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Drive standardisation and operational excellence across moderation and safety functions to support high-quality, compliant outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND experience in program management, process management, or process improvement 
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience owning or overseeing trust and safety, content moderation, digital risk, or compliance operations at scale, including work delivered through a mix of internal teams and external vendors. 
• Demonstrated experience executing digital safety, Responsible AI, or policy‑driven operational programs in complex, cross‑functional environments. 
• Solid analytical and systems‑thinking skills, with experience defining KPIs, identifying operational risks, and driving continuous process optimization. 
• Experience establishing or operating within governance models, including escalation frameworks, quality assurance, audit readiness, and change management. 
• Proven ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, risk‑heavy problem spaces and drive alignment across policy, legal, engineering, and operations stakeholders. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting operational status, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders.
