About the Role

As a Community Moderator, you will be part of a new and high‑impact function, helping build our community moderation capability from the ground up. Working alongside AI‑powered moderation tools, you will review and assess customer‑generated content that requires human judgement, ensuring a safe, fair, and engaging community experience.

You will play a key role in shaping moderation processes, improving how our tools perform over time, and protecting both our customers and brand. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is curious, detail‑oriented, and excited by the opportunity to influence how moderation is designed and delivered from day one.

As our community grows and becomes increasingly real‑time, this role may require flexibility to support coverage across different hours, including evenings, weekends, and potential 24/7 moderation support.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and assess content flagged by AI tools, applying community guidelines and policies consistently
  • Determine appropriate actions for content, including removing, restricting, or escalating where required
  • Identify patterns, edge cases, and emerging risks to inform model improvements and guideline updates
  • Accurately document moderation decisions to support auditability and continuous learning
  • Escalate sensitive or high‑risk content and contribute to risk awareness across the platform
  • Support the development of moderation processes, workflows, and best practice as the function evolves

About You 

You are naturally detail‑oriented and comfortable making judgement calls in situations where there isn’t always a clear answer. You stay composed when working with sensitive or confronting content and approach decisions with fairness, consistency, and good judgement. You are curious and open to learning new tools and technologies, and enjoy working in environments where processes are still being built. You are a strong communicator who can clearly explain decisions and collaborate effectively with others, while also being confident working independently.
 
What You Will Bring
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to pick up nuance, tone, and subtle risk indicators
  • Sound judgement and confidence making decisions in ambiguous or fast‑moving situations
  • Ability to learn and operate AI‑powered moderation tools and provide structured feedback
  • Clear written communication skills, particularly when documenting decisions and reasoning
  • Experience in customer operations, moderation, risk, compliance, or similar environments (preferred)
  • Resilience and the ability to work with sensitive content in a professional way
