THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT DOTT
Full-time, permanent (starting with 3 months notice period), and hybrid (3 days/week in the office).
As our Trust & Safety Lead, you'll own the team that sits at the heart of how Dott protects its riders, third parties, and the business. Millions of rides mean real-world safety incidents, insurance claims, police requests, and data-protection obligations and your team is the one that handles them with care, speed, and accountability. You'll lead a small, high-impact in-house team and act as the first escalation point for the most urgent and sensitive cases, while building the processes and metrics that let Trust & Safety become the competitive advantage for Dott.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll balance day-to-day operations while driving the Trust and Safety vision for Dott. of maturing the function:You will work closely with Ops, Data, and Tech, and strengthen how Trust & Safety works alongside Legal, Public Policy, and our Global Insurance Lead.
In this role, you will:
Lead, coach, and develop the Trust & Safety team setting priorities and supporting their growth.
Act as the first escalation point for Trust & Safety matters, ensuring urgent and high-impact cases are assessed and resolved promptly and sensitively.
Build and own operational metrics, processes, and workflows, driving continuous improvement
Oversee insurance and claims management with our broker and partners, registering and processing claims, escalating high-risk cases, and helping reduce Dott's liability exposure and legal costs.
Ensure GDPR compliance, including timely handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) within legal deadlines
Partner closely with Legal, Ops, Public Policy, the Global Insurance Lead, Data, and Tech to improve tooling, automation, and cross-functional response to safety and compliance risk.
Serve as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders on accident and insurance reporting, and represent Trust & Safety risk clearly to leadership.
YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience leading a trust & safety, incident management, claims, compliance, or operations team, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Sound judgement under pressure and genuine care when handling sensitive, high-impact cases, including serious accidents and fatalities.
Strong grasp of GDPR and data-protection obligations (DSARs, lawful data sharing with authorities); comfort working within legal timelines.
Familiarity with insurance claims processes and working with brokers, insurers, and legal teams to manage liability.
A process-builder's mindset. You can turn complex and unstructured workflows into reliable processes, SLAs, and metrics, and you use data to prioritise.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across Ops, Legal, Public Policy, Data, and Tech.
Comfortable with operational tooling (e.g. Jira, CRM/ticketing systems such as DIXA, claim platforms) and an appetite for automation to reduce manual work.
People-leadership skills: you set direction, coach specialists, and are the calm first escalation point your team can rely on.
Fluent English; additional European (such as German, Italian) languages are a plus given our multi-country footprint.
