About Us

At Félix, we're building the financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., starting with a revolution in remittances. Our core product is an AI-powered chatbot powered by WhatsApp, allowing our users to send money home as easily as sending a text message. We leverage cutting-edge technology like AI, blockchain, and stablecoins to make cross-border payments faster, more affordable, and more accessible than ever before.

We are a hyper-growth Series B company, backed by over $100 million in funding from top-tier global investors, including QED, Castle Island, Switch Ventures, HTwenty, Monashees, and General Catalyst Customer Value Fund. This isn't just about the numbers; it's a testament to the trust our investors have in our vision and our team. Additionally, Félix was selected as an “Endeavour Entrepreneur” and was a recipient of the CrossTech Fintech Startups Award. We are a group of extremely talented and dedicated high-performers, united by our shared obsession with a single goal: empowering our customers. We are all owners of Félix, driven by a bias for action and a true experimentation spirit to get shit done with urgency and focus.

Joining Félix means you will be part of a team building a legacy, a company that will outlive us all. This is a rare opportunity to apply your skills to a deeply meaningful mission—serving a community that has been underserved for too long. We are a team that is fiercely loyal to each other, where radical transparency and constructive feedback are how we grow and push for excellence. We are bold, we care less about what others are doing, and more about creating sustainable value and a product that truly makes our users' lives better. We are building the future, today.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Compliance Operations Manager who will serve as the execution backbone of our Compliance Operations team. You will sit between our Compliance Ops Manager, who drives company-level strategy and regulatory initiatives, and our Team Leads, who own day-to-day queue operations.

Your job is to make sure that strategy actually happens. You translate company goals into operational discipline: owning KPI accountability, building and developing your Team Leads, running cross-functional projects, and identifying process gaps before they become compliance risks.

This is a people-first leadership role. You are not an individual contributor stepping up, you are a manager who holds the team’s performance bar and creates the conditions for your Team Leads to grow.

Reporting Line: You report directly to the Compliance Ops Manager. Operational decisions within defined parameters are yours to own. Regulatory, legal, or strategic decisions are escalated upward in partnership with the Compliance Ops Manager.

Responsibilities

Team Lead Management:

  • Directly manage two Team Leads, serving as their primary coach, performance manager, and growth partner.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, structured performance reviews, and career development conversations.
  • Build capacity plans aligned to transaction volume forecasts to prevent queue spikes during peak remittance periods.
  • Own team morale and retention, proactively identify burnout risks and workload imbalances.
  • KPI Accountability

Gap Analysis & Process Optimization:

  • Regularly audit current workflows to identify bottlenecks: Why are certain holds exceeding SLA?
  • Partner with the Product team to automate repetitive compliance tasks, converting manual reviews into automated or human-in-the-loop workflows.

Project Execution:

  • Execute high-stakes compliance projects assigned by the Compliance Ops Manager
  • Own end-to-end delivery: scoping, coordination, timeline management, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Compliance Operations and Legal/Engineering teams, ensuring technical deployments align with regulatory requirements.
  • The Compliance Ops Manager owns the roadmap and prioritization. You own execution fidelity, bringing projects across the finish line on time and within compliance guardrails.

Partner Governance:

  • Act as a point of contact for Intermex and Uniteller’s compliance teams.
  • Hold partners accountable when internal delays impact Félix users, escalate to the Compliance Ops Manager when partner performance becomes a systemic issue.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) , Business or Law.
  • Experience: 5+ years in Compliance, Trust & Safety, or Risk Operations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management-level role. You thrive in a high-speed, 100% remote environment where fraud typologies evolve daily.
  • People Leadership: Demonstrated ability to develop Team Leads, not just manage tasks, but build people.
  • Fintech Expertise: Deep understanding of AML/KYC and document verification in a high-volume environment.
  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency in SQL is highly preferred (Excel/Google Sheets is a must). Experience with IDV tools (Persona) and Support platforms is required.
  • Language: Upper-Intermediate to Advanced English (written and verbal).

These are the applicable requisites, although equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Initial stock options grant
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Health, dental, and vision plans
  • Remote work environment, although we have offices in Miami and México City and would love to work in hybrid model if you are up to it.
  • Continuous learning opportunities
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid parental leave
  • Empowering opportunities for growth in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment
