Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented Compliance Specialist to support the Law Enforcement Response team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com and is at the forefront of the cloud computing service industry, providing IT infrastructure services, such as on-demand compute, storage, database, network and content delivery, artificial intelligence, mobile, and internet of things services, and more.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. The candidate should be a strong written and verbal communicator with great attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work independently in a constantly changing and ever ambiguous environment. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential.

Key job responsibilities
This individual will be an integral part of the team responsible for responding to law enforcement requests (e.g., subpoenas, search warrants) received from government agencies located in the U.S. and elsewhere. The Compliance Specialist role works to ensure requests are processed expeditiously, all while ensuring the privacy and security of business and customer information. Basic Qualifications: - 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information Preferred Qualifications: - Security Clearance: Preferred for Candidates to have an active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance or the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience managing official requests from government and law enforcement agencies for user data and account information
- Fluency in Polish, Chinese, or Korean preferred
- Sound judgment, even in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently, while being able to contribute to cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, and commitment to deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as analytical and computer skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
