Trust & Safety Agent Profile — Boutique CSAM & CSEM Specialist (Operations)

Role Overview

Boutique Trust & Safety specialists at Concentrix serve as the expert escalation layer for the most sensitive, high-severity, and context-dependent cases in the Trust & Safety ecosystem. These teams focus exclusively on CSAM, CSEM, and child-safety-related investigations, where decisions must be accurate, proportionate, and grounded in ethical, legal, and policy frameworks.

Agents in this role are specialists, not generalists, they apply advanced contextual reasoning, investigative thinking, and policy interpretation. They also serve as a critical bridge between operations, policy, legal/compliance, and client safety teams, contributing to policy evolution, precedent setting, and model feedback.

Core Scope of Responsibilities

1. Complex Case Resolution (CSAM/CSEM Appeals & Safety Incidents)

● Handle escalations involving suspected CSAM/CSEM violations, ambiguous child-safety concerns, or borderline high-risk material.

● Review appeals for accounts previously actioned for CSAM/CSEM concerns, assessing the validity and sufficiency of user-submitted evidence.

● Make independent, proportionate, and defensible decisions with 100% accuracy.

● Evaluate case context holistically by analysing metadata, behavioural signals, historical activity, and user narratives.

2. Contextual & Critical Decision-Making

● Exercise judgment in policy-silent or ambiguous edge cases where strict guidelines may not fully fit real-world scenarios.

● Apply ethical reasoning grounded in child protection principles, safeguarding standards, and global regulatory expectations.

● Identify mitigating or aggravating factors (intent, repeat behaviour, evasion signals, contextual cues).

● Ensure consistent application of proportional enforcement, neither over-enforcing nor under-enforcing.

3. Policy Interpretation & Intelligence Feedback

● Interpret complex Trust & Safety and child-safety policies, applying them with nuance while preserving intent.

● Identify policy gaps, unclear definitions, recurring ambiguities, and recommend improvements.

● Document “unknown unknowns”emerging behaviors not yet covered by policy.

● Contribute insights for policy updates, model improvements, and decision-tree refinements.

4. Investigation & Child-Safety Risk Assessment

● Conduct in-depth investigations to identify:

o Grooming patterns

o Offender behaviour

o Repeat or evasive users

o Cross-signal abuse indicators

● Analyse metadata, case history, communication cues, or platform signals to determine risk.

● Collaborate with internal Legal/Compliance stakeholders as needed, maintaining high confidentiality and adherence to strict CSAM handling protocols.

● Assess both immediate and long-term risk to child safety and platform integrity.

5. Mentorship, Quality Enablement & Knowledge Sharing

● Support Tier 1/2 teams (if present) through coaching, decision rationale reviews, and scenario walk-throughs.

● Contribute to calibration sessions and act as subject-matter support for new or ambiguous case types.

● Help build a library of precedent cases, best practices, and contextual reasoning exemplars.

Performance Indicators

● Decision Accuracy: Target of 100% accuracy on CSAM/CSEM determinations

● Policy Alignment: Quality of rationale and consistency in judgment

● Risk Mitigation Impact: Reduction in repeat escalations and false negatives

● Insight Quality: Actionability and clarity of policy-gap feedback

● Documentation Standards: Completeness, clarity, and defensibility of case notes

● Calibration Participation: Contribution to building decision consistency across the team

Example Case Types

● Appeals challenging account enforcement related to suspected CSAM/CSEM content or activity

● Ambiguous content or behavioural indicators requiring contextual judgment

● Repeat offenders or evasion patterns signalling elevated risk

● Cases where user evidence challenges or exposes limitations in policy

● High-severity incidents requiring cross-signal risk assessment
