About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and client-focused Data Labeling Account Manager (Mandarin) to oversee day-to-day operations, stakeholder communication, and account performance within large-scale data annotation and labeling programs.

In this role, you will serve as the key bridge between internal operations teams and ByteDance stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution, high-quality delivery, operational compliance, and strong client satisfaction. You will work closely with multilingual teams supporting AI training data initiatives across multiple workflows and content categories.

The ideal candidate has strong account management experience, exceptional communication skills in both Mandarin and English, and the ability to manage fast-paced, high-volume operational environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational accounts and stakeholder communications
  • Manage client expectations, timelines, deliverables, and escalation handling across multiple active projects
  • Coordinate with internal operations, QA, recruitment, training, and production teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Monitor account health, operational KPIs, SLAs, and workforce performance metrics
  • Lead regular business reviews, reporting, and operational updates with internal leadership and client stakeholders
  • Ensure projects meet quality, productivity, and compliance standards
  • Identify operational risks, staffing gaps, and workflow bottlenecks, then implement corrective actions proactively
  • Support workforce planning and scaling initiatives based on client demand and forecasted volumes
  • Collaborate with multilingual teams handling AI data labeling, moderation, annotation, and content-related workflows
  • Maintain accurate documentation, process updates, and project trackers
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and client satisfaction
Required Qualifications
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in account management, operations management, project management, or client services
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or high-volume operational accounts
  • Strong understanding of data labeling, AI operations, content moderation, BPO, or digital operations environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, reporting tools, and project tracking systems
  • Familiarity with AI training data, annotation workflows, or trust & safety operations
  • Experience managing remote or distributed teams
  • Background in vendor management or workforce operations
  • Experience with KPI reporting, SLA management, and operational dashboards
