What you'll do



It's an exciting time to join us as we build a new Trust & Safety team. As a Trust & Safety Analyst, you'll be a key driver in our proactive efforts to maintain a secure and trustworthy platform. You will not only monitor user activity and enforce policies, but also leverage advanced tooling to identify and mitigate emerging threats. You'll conduct initial investigations into reported activity, analyze data for trends, and provide detailed findings that support our broader team objectives. This role requires developing proficiency and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to uphold the integrity of our platform and brand.

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Trust and Safety Chief.

 

Responsibility

  • Lead the design and development of a customer Anti-Fraud Intelligence, action and case management platform

  • Integrate diverse data sources, threat intelligence feeds, and internal data into the MVP platform, ensuring data integrity and system reliability

  • Architect and build scalable and secure APIs, and ensure the platform's high availability

  • Design and implement automated takedown processes for malicious domains and accounts

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members through code reviews and collaborative problem-solving

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to enhance automation and integration with internal platforms and systems



Job Designation



Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring



Basic

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience with a modern programming language like Java, Python, or C#
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
  • Experience building and maintaining APIs and data ingestion pipelines
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git

 


Preferred

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and complex system design
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration - platforms like Kubernetes
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Experience developing security or fraud detection platforms
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence feeds and data correlation techniques
  • Familiarity with security concepts like phishing, account compromise, and domain abuse
  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL database systems
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical leadership skills
