Team/Department Overview: Risk Management Team – Reporting to the Senior Manager of Risk Management

The Digital Risk Management Representative plays a critical role in protecting the integrity of Flock Freight’s digital freight marketplace. This role focuses on identifying suspicious activity, investigating potential fraud signals, and analyzing behavioral patterns across carrier and customer accounts.

This is a highly analytical and operational role involving the review of platform sessions, investigation of alerts, and identification of emerging fraud patterns within the freight marketplace. The Digital Risk Management Representative partners closely with internal teams to escalate issues, document findings, and strengthen processes that help prevent fraud, platform abuse, and cargo loss.

Success in this role requires curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to recognize patterns within platform behavior to proactively detect and mitigate risk.

What You’ll Do

  • Review platform activity and investigate suspicious behavior across carrier and customer accounts using internal monitoring tools and behavioral data signals.
  • Review a consistent flow of platform alerts and activity sessions to identify potential risk signals, suspicious patterns, or anomalies in marketplace behavior.
  • Conduct investigations ranging from quick activity reviews to deeper analysis of complex fraud cases. Investigations involve identifying and confirming fraud, then documenting all findings with supporting evidence to enable appropriate escalation and resolution.
  • Support detection, investigation, and prevention of identity fraud, synthetic activity, and suspicious new account behavior using internal risk reporting tools and platform monitoring systems.
  • Analyze platform data and digital activity trends to identify emerging fraud patterns, operational vulnerabilities, or suspicious marketplace behavior.
  • Contribute insights that help improve fraud detection alerts, risk scoring models, and fraud prevention processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Carrier Operations, Issue Resolution, and Product teams to escalate suspicious activity, support investigations, and implement corrective actions that strengthen platform security.
  • Maintain clear documentation of investigations and share findings with relevant teams to support escalations and corrective actions.
  • Support risk mitigation initiatives aimed at reducing platform abuse, account compromise, and operational disruption.
  • Assist with risk management projects, process improvements, and occasional after-hours support as needed.

Who You Are

  • Curious and investigative, with a natural instinct to question anomalies or unusual patterns.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify patterns and connect signals across multiple data points.
  • Persistent and comfortable digging deeper into data and behavioral signals to uncover root causes of suspicious activity.
  • Organized and able to document findings clearly while managing multiple investigations simultaneously.
  • A strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving environment.
  • Mission-driven and motivated to help protect the integrity and trust of a growing digital freight marketplace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in logistics, freight marketplaces, carrier operations, fraud prevention, or trust & Safety roles is highly preferred.
  • Strong interest in fraud prevention, marketplace integrity, or digital risk operations.
  • Experience working with operational data and investigative workflows.
  • Intermediate proficiency with data tools such as Google Sheets or Excel for organizing and analyzing data.
  • Experience with tools such as Sigma, FullStory, or other behavioral monitoring platforms is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
