  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 15 years of experience in product management or related areas.
  • Experience leading and scaling technical product initiatives.
  • Experience leading teams through change, innovation, or disruption, and adapting strategy.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with execution and bias towards action, even in areas of uncertainty, with cross-functional teams across multiple locations and time zones, to get things done.
  • Experience leading cross-functionally with multiple executive stakeholders and an ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to apply systems thinking to analyze complex problems, identify interdependencies, and develop holistic solutions with high business impact.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

About The Job

As Director, you will be responsible for designing and building the critical systems, tools, and infrastructure required to enable the Trust & Safety mission and advancing AI transformation. You will lead a breadth of technical teams and work collaboratively with analysts, business data scientists, and policy experts to develop robust, scalable, and reliable solutions, across all levels of the technical stack, from infrastructure to platforms to tooling.

In this role, you will also serve as a technical leader and expert within the organization, and will be expected to identify the most critical and innovative areas of future work for yourself and the team, in the context of Trust & Safety's long-term strategy. You will establish an effective operating model for this technical team as we partner inside and outside of Trust & Safety organization boundaries, with special attention given to shared success metrics and smooth collaboration with other technical teams which support Trust & Safety.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $282,000-$392,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and advocate for a technical outlook for Trust & Safety systems, tools, and infrastructure. Develop the outlook, strategy, and roadmap for our technical infrastructure, platforms, and tooling, establishing high-fidelity and reliable data for the Trust & Safety organization and product partners. Partner with policy and operations counterparts across Trust & Safety to simplify user safety at scale.
  • Develop the Trust & Safety technology strategy by proactively identifying and proposing new ways to leverage technology, automation, and AI to accelerate the Trust & Safety mission.
  • Establish trusted relationships which enable you to partner closely across Trust & Safety, engineering, research, legal, policy, and testing teams.
  • Define the team’s mission, scope, and responsibilities. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers, software engineers, data science, and UX researchers, and product managers in Trust & Safety.
