Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
1 year of experience in managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in a related quantitative field.
Experience in metrics analysis, experiment design and automation.
Experience with applied AI experimentation and prototyping.
Experience in delivering problem-solving recommendations that were adopted by an organization.
Ability to collaborate with teammates.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present the results of the work.

About the jobTrust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

In this role, you will be working with product managers, software engineers (e.g., Machine Learning (ML)/anti-abuse and security engineers), policy, business and review teams in devising strategy to outsmart the adversaries. You will be working on developing data-motivated insights to improve the review operations, identify new trends in foundational fraud abuse, automation of processes and enforcement, feature engineering/signal development of ML model improvements, reverse engineering, develop intelligence on threat actors, etc.At Google we work hard to earn our users’ trust every day. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

Execute projects/investigations and cross-functional initiatives within Google, interacting with executive stakeholders from Engineering, Legal, Product teams.
Deliver improvements to the performance metrics based on understanding drivers of abuse and leveraging fellow teammates to deliver business results.
Provide technical contributions to the team and leverage problem-solving and programming skills to ensure that solutions fit within the current product and back-end infrastructures.
Deliver cross-functional solutions focused on user safety, process optimizations and safe business for the advertisers.
Build or design Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to ensure user safety, operations optimization or Agentic solutions.
