Developer Experience Escalation Engineer(DevOps/AI Automation)

ISG TechOps team includes DevSecOps, LabOps and services, and IT software and tools as well as Strategy and Transformation. We are seeking a passionate and skilled team of individuals who will focus on improving developer workflows and identifying opportunities to enhance the overall developer experience at scale. This team will work within our established Scrum framework and leverage existing tools to drive meaningful improvements and standardization of SDLC for our engineering organization.

What you’ll achieve

As a Developer Experience (DevEx) DevOps Engineer, you will focus on improving the overall experience of developers within the Infrastructure Solutions organization. This role is multifaceted and includes several key responsibilities:

• Resolve complex developer experience issues quickly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity

• Enhance automation workflows across CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability, speed, and efficiency using AI-driven tool

• Collaborate seamlessly with development, operations, and platform teams to boost developer satisfaction and adoption of tooling

• Identify repetitive issues and implement AI-powered automation and monitoring solutions to proactively improve processes

• You will:

• Serve as the key escalation resource for technical issues impacting developer workflows, pipelines, and automation frameworks

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve critical incidents impacting software delivery and developer tooling

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts and tools to optimize build, test, and deployment processes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, SREs, and platform engineers to promote best practices and reliability

• Document escalation procedures, automation workflows, and troubleshooting guides for knowledge sharing

• Monitor system health and contribute to root cause analysis and incident reviews

• Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies, including AI-powered automation and predictive analytics

• Essential Requirements

• 3 years of experience in escalation support, DevOps, or automation engineering focused on developer experience

• Proficient scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Github actions, Artifactory), source control systems (Git)

• Knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration, including pod and cluster management

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile practices

• Skilled in root cause analysis, technical escalation management, and effective communication

• Experience using AI-driven automation tools to optimize CI/CD pipelines and improve incident response

• Familiarity with AI-based monitoring, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics

• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Working knowledge of monitoring systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack

• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and proactive communication abilities

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.  The base salary range for this position: $117,300 to $151,800.
