About You

You are a political operator with 5-8 years' experience of EU politics and policy. You have a good understanding of the EU's digital policies and demonstrated affinity with the tech accountability agenda. You are well versed in the nature of and debates surrounding social media. You have a strong political network in Brussels and in at least one key member state. You enjoy meeting new people and making connections, working autonomously and as part of a small team. You are fully proficient in English as well as in German and/or French;  other languages are a major asset. You are a fluent writer, a skilled campaigner and an accomplished policy advocate.

Functional Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 5-8 years' professional experience in EU politics and policy, preferably acquired as an official or EU parliamentary aide.

  • A Master’s degree in EU affairs, law, public policy, economics, or political science, or equivalent acquired through experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of EU legislative processes and institutional dynamics.

  • Thorough understanding of the EU's digital policies and the challenges facing them.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong political skills and the ability to communicate effectively with policymakers.

  • Excellent analytical and writing skills; confident communicator with the ability to translate complex policy topics into clear, research-driven messages.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

  • Full professional proficiency in English and either German or French is required;  additional EU languages are a major asset.

Position responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Political and Stakeholder Outreach

  • Build and maintain relationships with EU political parties, national political parties, and policymakers, with a focus on at least one major member state.

  • Identify political, policy and societal trends across the EU relevant to EU digital regulation and its enforcement.

  • Help build and support engagement strategies and campaigns that encourage a strong and consistent approach to sovereign EU tech regulation.

  • Coordinate with civil society partners, think tanks, experts, and industry actors.

  • Support the organization of events, workshops and high-level discussions.

EU Institutional Engagement

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key officials and aides within the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission.

  • Identify and track key political and policy developments related to digital markets, digital services and platform accountability.

  • Prepare briefings and policy analyses for EU policymakers.

  • Represent Reset Tech in meetings, hearings, and events.

  • Support members of the global Reset Tech team in their engagement with the EU institutions.
