We’re hiring: Fraud Prevention Adviser (Remote, Part-Time – Maternity Cover)

About Hygglo:
Hygglo is a peer-to-peer rental platform built on the belief that things should be used. We help people rent out items they don’t use every day and access what they need, when they need it — with a focus on affordability, security, and positive impact.

Founded in Stockholm in 2016, Hygglo grew to become the largest peer-to-peer rental marketplace in the Nordics. In 2022, Fat Llama joined forces with Hygglo, bringing the UK’s largest rental platform into one shared organisation under a single brand.

Today, Hygglo operates across multiple markets, supporting cross-border rentals with secure payments, platform protections, and a strong focus on trust and safety across the marketplace.

About The Role:
Hygglo is continuing to grow across multiple markets, and we’re looking for a Fraud Prevention Adviser to join our team.

In this role, you’ll help protect both Hygglo and our users by identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activity, while supporting a smooth, fair and positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Support and manage end-to-end customer operations to ensure rentals run smoothly and users have a positive Hygglo experience
Act as frontline support for Hygglo’s user base, guiding customers through processes and resolving issues where appropriate
Build strong expertise in Hygglo’s systems, tools, and verification processes
Take customers through verification journeys, including phone calls for higher-value item verifications
Conduct thorough account and call assessments to identify potential fraud risks
Analyse data to detect unusual patterns and suspicious activity
Follow fraud prevention best practices and internal guidelines
Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Customer Support, Resolutions, and Product
Work with the Product team to share customer feedback, highlight risks, and contribute to product improvements
Contribute to departmental goals and take part in changes and updates within the fraud prevention function

This list is not exhaustive and may be adjusted in line with business needs.

Essential Requirements:
Confidence in making independent verification decisions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear, professional communication with customers
Fluent English (spoken and written)
Access to a reliable computer and a stable internet connection
CV must be submitted in English

What We Offer:
Fully remote working, with the option to work from our office on a hybrid basis if preferred
A supportive and collaborative team environment
Regular company off-sites and team meet-ups
Flexible working patterns to support work–life balance
The opportunity to contribute to a platform focused on trust, safety, and positive impact

Location: Sweden
Contract: 6-month temporary role (maternity cover), starting mid-March
Schedule: Monday–Sunday shifts, varied between 8:00 am–12:00 am CET (Midnight), typically 9 hours long.
Work setup: Fully remote (candidates must have access to their own computer)
Language: Fluent English (spoken and written) required
