We are supporting a high-growth online e-commerce livestream shopping platform-- A company that blends real‑time video auctions, community engagement, and dynamic marketplace buying and selling. Sellers host interactive live shows where they auction items, answer questions, and build passionate communities. This entertainment-driven model has made this one of the most engaging commerce platforms in the U.S. As the platform continues rapid expansion into categories like collectibles, sneakers, fashion, electronics, and niche hobbies, Trust & Safety remains a critical part of maintaining marketplace integrity.

Role Overview

As a Trust, Risk & Fraud Agent, you will help maintain the safety, integrity, and fairness of the marketplace. Your work will involve reviewing user‑reported content, moderating sensitive materials, investigating suspicious buyer/seller behavior, and enforcing community standards.

This team monitors a variety of violations including:

  • Harassment, hate speech, or violent language
  • Nudity or sexually explicit content
  • Fraud, chargebacks, disputes, and account takeovers
  • Marketplace abuse and policy violations

This role includes content moderation similar to other online platforms that monitor for nudity, profanity, violent content, or safety risks. Note: Whatnot has a separate, dedicated fraud team—this role works closely but focuses on combined Trust & Safety and Risk Operations.

  • Identify patterns in fraud and marketplace abuse
  • Respond to fraud- or safety-related inquiries with empathy and professionalism

Platform Integrity & Support

  • Communicate case outcomes clearly and respectfully
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Fraud, CX, Legal, Policy
  • Manage case backlog while maintaining accuracy and meeting SLAs
  • Uphold Whatnot’s safety standards and represent the brand professionally

  • Strong written & verbal communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to review sensitive content
  • Problem-solving mindset; proactive and collaborative
  • Passion for the Whatnot platform, users, and community

Remote Working Requirements:
