The Regional Policy team serves as the principal policy voice during crises and escalations, acts as a key stakeholder for Public Policy and Public Relations teams, and provides critical regional insights and feedback for policy development.

We are looking for a Global Head of Regional Policy to lead a globally distributed team of Policy Leads and Managers. As a leader, you will sit at the intersection of Policy, Product, Operations, Public Policy, and business teams. This role is equal parts strategic vision and hands-on operator: you will set multi-year direction while making the hardest call-of-the-day decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Global Team Leadership: Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development for a globally distributed, high-performing team of Policy Leads and Managers.
- Crisis & Escalation Management: Lead regional policy teams through high-complexity escalations, serving as the principal policy voice during crises and complex cases involving media, governments, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Regional Strategy & Global Alignment: Oversee regional policy needs, thoughtfully balancing global safety standards with regulatory, cultural, and geopolitical considerations.
- Cross-Functional System Optimization: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve moderation in response to emerging risks, including developing policy guidance and running evaluation of enforcement outcomes.
- Strategic Vision & Execution: Set the multi-year directional strategy for the regional policy function while remaining deeply involved in the operational details to ensure policy intent translates into effective enforcement.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s):
- 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Public Policy, Law, Academia, Technology, or a related field in a high-growth, global environment.
- 5+ years of people management experience, with a proven track record of leading large, culturally diverse, globally distributed teams.
- Deep understanding of content policy, online safety, integrity, and authenticity challenges, as well as the unique dynamics of social media platforms.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize highly complex topics into clear, strategic narratives for executives, external stakeholders, and broad audiences.
- Strong collaborative skills with proven experience navigating competing priorities alongside product, technical, legal, and operational teams.
- High technical fluency with the ability to navigate complex tools, systems, and emerging technologies, paired with a strong understanding of how data science informs policy development and enforcement.

Preferred Qualification(s):
- Experience directly engaging with key external stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, academics, or civil society organizations.
- Advanced degree (JD, MPP, MBA, or equivalent) in public policy, law, data science, or a related field.
