About the team
Trust & Safety plays a critical role in protecting users, strengthening platform integrity, and enabling sustainable growth across a complex and evolving global environment. As our platform, products, regulatory obligations, and operating footprint continue to expand, the need for a modern, scalable, and business-relevant risk management capability has never been greater.
The Risk Management & Integrity (RMI) team is the centralized operational risk and internal controls function for Trust & Safety. The team is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and strengthening how risk is managed across the organization, covering enterprise, operational, third-party, regulatory, and emerging risk domains. This includes risks spanning policy, process, systems, platform, people, governance, and control effectiveness.
RMI works across product, policy, operations, legal, compliance, privacy, security, and other cross-functional partners to improve risk visibility, strengthen control environments, and enable better decision-making at scale. The team’s mission is not only to identify risks, but to help build the operating mechanisms, organizational discipline, and scalable capabilities required to manage them effectively across global and regional contexts.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced, highly practical, and globally-minded executive leader to serve as Global Head of Risk Management & Integrity. This person will lead and continuously evolve a global function responsible for strengthening Trust & Safety’s risk management capability across regions, risk domains, and operational environments.
This is a highly strategic but also hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will be expected to define the function’s vision, operating model, and priorities, while also engaging directly in high-impact decisions, complex cross-functional issues, leadership forums, and organizational trade-offs. They should be equally comfortable building long-term capability and stepping into operational detail where executive judgment, stakeholder alignment, or direct intervention is needed.
We are looking for a leader who can scale an organization, sharpen its focus, strengthen its leadership bench, and clearly connect risk management work to business outcomes, platform resilience, and regulatory readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously optimize a global Risk Management & Integrity organization supporting Trust & Safety across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
- Define the strategy, operating model, governance structure, and priorities for the function, ensuring focus on the most material operational, regulatory, platform, and organizational risks.
- Build a high-performing global team with clear ownership, strong leadership leverage, effective management routines, and scalable mechanisms for execution and decision-making.
- Provide direct strategic guidance and coaching to team leaders, including prioritization, stakeholder management, quality of judgment, and alignment to Trust & Safety and broader company goals.
- Personally drive the most complex, high-impact, and complex cross-functional issues where strategic leadership, executive judgment, or visible advocacy are required.
- Serve as a visible and credible leader for the function in executive stakeholder and governance forums, clearly articulating priorities, business relevance, trade-offs, and expected outcomes.
- Build and scale core capabilities across key domains such as access control and access abuse, AI risk, ethics and conduct risk, third-party and vendor risk, platform integrity, risk analytics, risk culture and training, risk assessments, control reviews, and regulatory compliance.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve risk management frameworks, policies, processes, and controls that strengthen consistency, accountability, and resilience across Trust & Safety.
- Partner closely with product, policy, operations, legal, compliance, privacy, security, internal controls, and other teams to embed risk-aware decision-making and improve control effectiveness at platform and organizational levels.
- Monitor changes in the external risk and regulatory environment, assess implications for the organization, and translate those changes into practical policy, control, and operating model responses.
- Drive modern, scalable approaches to risk management through the use of data, analytics, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and targeted learning interventions.
- Establish clear metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure risk exposure, control effectiveness, capability maturity, and business impact.
- Strengthen leadership depth, talent quality, and succession readiness across the organization by combining people development with strong in-role coaching, clear expectations, and accountability for outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s):
- Bachelor’s degree or above in business, public policy, political science, behavioural science, engineering, information security, computer science, data science, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in operational risk, enterprise risk, compliance, regulatory affairs, audit, internal controls, cybersecurity, third-party risk, platform integrity, or related disciplines within global, fast-growing, and highly regulated environments.
- Significant experience leading regional or global teams, including leading through other leaders and operating across multiple geographies and risk domains.
- Demonstrated success building, scaling, or transforming risk, controls, compliance, governance, or integrity functions in complex organizations.
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, including setting direction at executive level while engaging directly in complex problem-solving and cross-functional execution.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to represent the function effectively in leadership forums and translate risk issues into clear business implications and actions.
- Strong judgment, prioritization skills, and a pragmatic risk-based approach in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
- Strong affinity for technology, platform operations, and the changing risk landscape associated with digital products, AI, data, and global regulation.
Preferred Qualification(s):
- Experience in Trust & Safety, online platforms, digital ecosystem businesses, or similarly complex global operating environments.
- Direct experience with major regulatory regimes relevant to global platforms, including GDPR, the Digital Services Act, the AI Act, or similar frameworks.
- Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CIA, or comparable credentials.
- Experience applying data analytics, automation, machine learning, or generative AI to improve risk management, controls, monitoring, or training outcomes.
- Strong interest in emerging social, behavioural, technological, and regulatory trends, and the ability to translate them into actionable priorities.
- Experience leading organizations through periods of significant growth, change, transformation, or increased regulatory complexity.
