- The platform operates at the intersection of Eastern and Western digital ecosystems, presenting unique challenges and opportunities in setting global standards for online safety, authenticity, and community trust.

The Role:
- This is a founding Global Head of Trust & Safety position, responsible for defining and building the entire Trust & Safety function outside the company’s core home market.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Shaping the definition of “safe and authentic” across different cultures and regions.
- Integrating policy, enforcement, and technology at scale.
- Navigating regulatory, cultural, and societal expectations across Eastern and Western markets.
- This is a 0→1 leadership role, combining strategic executive ownership with hands-on building of systems, teams, and infrastructure.

What You Will Do:

Policy & Governance:
- Define and evolve global community guidelines and content policies, ensuring consistency while respecting regional nuances.
- Translate complex cultural, legal, and societal expectations into clear, enforceable standards.
- Partner with Legal, Public Policy, and Government Relations teams to navigate regulatory frameworks in key markets (US, EU, Southeast Asia).
- Establish escalation frameworks, appeals processes, and governance models for high-risk content decisions.

Operations & Enforcement:
- Build and scale a global moderation and enforcement ecosystem from the ground up.
- Design vendor strategy, quality frameworks, and operational workflows across regions.
- Define and drive KPIs and SLAs for accuracy, consistency, and response time.
- Lead crisis response and sensitive content decisions, balancing speed, precision, and reputational risk.

AI, Automation & Platform Integrity:
- Define the vision for AI-driven content moderation and enforcement systems.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to build detection pipelines, classification models, and automated enforcement systems.
- Lead the transition from manual moderation to intelligent, scalable automation.
- Establish evaluation frameworks to ensure alignment between model performance and policy intent, especially in nuanced or culturally sensitive areas.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence:
- Build and lead a globally distributed Trust & Safety organization across policy, operations, and intelligence functions.
- Serve as the central Trust & Safety voice across Product, Legal, Communications, and Business teams.
- Act as a bridge between regional teams and global leadership, ensuring alignment across markets.
- Represent the company externally with regulators, NGOs, and industry bodies.

Who You Are:
- 8–15+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, content policy, or platform integrity within a scaled global consumer platform.
- Proven track record leading multi-region Trust & Safety operations, ideally across both Western and Asian markets.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML-driven moderation systems, with the ability to work closely with engineering and product teams.
- Experience managing large-scale moderation ecosystems, including global vendor networks.
- Strong policy judgment, able to translate ambiguous cultural and legal contexts into clear, actionable enforcement frameworks.
- Comfortable operating in high-growth, ambiguous, 0→1 environments.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.

Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Mandarin or additional languages are a strong advantage.

Why This Role:
- A rare opportunity to define Trust & Safety at a global scale from the ground up.
- Operate at the intersection of technology, policy, and cross-cultural dynamics.
- Shape how a major global platform balances authentic expression with platform integrity.
- High visibility, high ownership, and direct impact on company trajectory.
