Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Platform Integrity to lead Duco's Platform Integrity vertical, which spans trust and safety, content and product policy, and global regulatory readiness, including online safety regimes in the UK, the EU, and Asia-Pacific. You will own the vertical's client relationships, delivery quality, and growth, drawing on Duco's global expert network to deliver high-impact work.

You will report directly to the Managing Partner and lead an established, high-performing team, with the opportunity to grow that team as the vertical scales.

Areas of Responsibility

Your primary objective will be to grow the Platform Integrity vertical while maintaining the quality and responsiveness Duco's clients expect. Your areas of responsibility will include:

Business Development & Vertical Growth

  • Drive Growth: Own the vertical's revenue goals, expanding work within existing accounts and opening relationships with new clients.
  • Represent Duco: Engage with technology platforms, regulators, civil society organizations, and policymakers, building the relationships that lead to new work.
  • Shape the Offering: Track trust and safety and regulatory developments, including Ofcom, the EU Digital Services Act, and Asia-Pacific regimes, and turn them into new services.

Client Delivery & Relationships

  • Own Client Relationships: Serve as the senior point of contact for the vertical's accounts, building trusted relationships with trust and safety, policy, and regulatory leaders.
  • Scope and Shape Engagements: Help clients define their needs, often before they have fully articulated them, and translate those needs into well-scoped projects and programs.
  • Ensure Quality: Review and refine work product before it reaches clients, holding expert teams to Duco's standards on substance, accuracy, and timeliness.

Team Leadership

  • Manage the Team: Lead the vertical's existing team, setting priorities, balancing workloads across engagements, and giving the team and Duco's experts clear ownership of day-to-day delivery.
  • Develop Careers: Invest in each team member's growth through regular coaching, feedback, and mentorship, helping them build new skills, take on greater responsibility, and advance their careers at Duco.

Key Qualifications

A great candidate for this position can speak credibly on topics ranging from content moderation and child safety to online safety regulation and AI policy. The ideal candidate is comfortable at the strategic level, builds relationships with ease, takes full ownership of outcomes, and gets the best out of the people around them.

Leading candidates will have:

  • 12+ years of experience in trust and safety, technology policy, regulatory affairs, consulting, or government, including senior roles at a technology platform, regulator, consultancy, or public agency.
  • A proven track record in business development, including growing a portfolio of work, expanding existing accounts, and building senior client relationships that lead to new engagements.
  • Deep familiarity with platform integrity issues, including content and product policy, enforcement, child safety, and the regulatory requirements governing online platforms in the US, UK, EU, and Asia-Pacific.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams, with a commitment to developing the people you lead and supporting their career growth.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the judgment to scope solutions when client needs are not yet well defined.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the discipline to stay current on fast-moving policy and regulatory developments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage credibly with executives, regulators, and policymakers.

At Duco, we prioritize recognizing and nurturing the strengths and growth areas of every team member. As individuals join our team and opportunities develop, we customize aspects of roles to align with their strengths and areas of interest.

Approved vacation is unlimited. Duco is closed at least 15 days per year, including the day after Thanksgiving and the full week between Christmas and New Year's Day.
