Responsibilities
The Video & Regional Policy team is at the center of this mission, turning safety policies into enforceable, scalable decisions across every harm area, from misinformation, sexualized behaviors, violent extremism, to regulated goods and more, adapting them to the regulatory and cultural realities of every region.

We are hiring a Head of Video Policy & Regional High Harm to lead this team of policy enforcement experts. You will own the policy strategy for both human moderation and AI-driven systems, serve as a principal policy voice in crises, and help shape how policy, product, and operations come together across the company. The role is equal parts strategic vision and hands-on operator, you will set multi-year direction while making the hardest call-of-the-day decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead global policy enforcement strategy for video and photo mode features across all content policy domains, working from misinformation to sexualized behaviors, ensuring consistent and scalable application of policies.
- Oversee regional needs, thoughtfully balancing global standards with regulatory and cultural considerations.
- Manage high-complexity escalations, including crises and complex cases involving media, governments, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Partner with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to develop and improve human and AI-driven moderation systems, including policy guidance, labeling standards, and evaluation frameworks.
- Define and implement quality frameworks to improve enforcement accuracy, consistency, and operational performance.
- Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development for a globally distributed, high-performing team.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in Trust & Safety, Public Policy, Law, Academia, Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, set strategic direction, and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Deep understanding of content policy, online safety, integrity, and authenticity challenges, as well as the dynamics of social media platforms.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex topics for executives, external stakeholders, and broad audiences.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working with product, technical, legal, and operational teams.
- High technical aptitude and ability to navigate complex tools, systems, and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of data science and how it informs policy development and enforcement.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience engaging with external stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, academics, or civil society organizations.

Job Information
【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $189800 - $487200 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).​
