Position at Resolver
Would you like a role that makes a real world impact? The growth of online harms in the world of social media has been exponential and can present itself at all levels of society. Users of social media are continually being bombarded with potentially harmful, illegal, hateful, violent, inauthentic and misattributed content. Fighting these risks on social media requires dynamism and fluidity to face each problem individually and appropriately, whilst also applying a consistent lens of investigative curiosity. Our intelligence makes a huge difference; every year we protect millions of the most vulnerable from the most egregious forms of exploitation. We are excited to be growing our team and are hiring a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the risk area of Hate and Harassment. This role is ideal for anyone wanting to use their previous professional and/or academic experiences within research, intelligence, and analysis to make the internet a safer place for everyone. About the role;
- As the Lead Subject Matter Expert, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging multiple domain expertise and functional proficiency to guide and mentor the SME and IA teams.
- Your strategic planning skills and depth of knowledge in OSINT/SOCMINT contribute to the organization's success in addressing key risks and planning for future deliverables.
- You lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, personal development, and continuous improvement within the team.
- You are responsible for how the Platform team (and wider Resolver) understand and engage in all deliverables within your risk area including, Imminent Threat, Platform Intelligence and Platform Strategic Intelligence.
- The core focus in this role is to lead a component of subject matter expertise within the Platforms Team and its sub teams. Online harms can be difficult to research and analyze; which means a successful subject matter expert must be experienced in researching online harms, and understand the problem set in order to draw assessments that will support actionable outputs.
Essential Experience:
- Fluent proficiency in the English language. The ability to speak Polish would be an advantage but not essential.
- Proven experience in a specialized role within an organization, demonstrating deep subject matter expertise and functional proficiency.

- Previous experience in Hate and Harassment, through research, safeguarding, or intelligence related fields.
- Existing knowledge of social media platforms and how they work.
- Ability to conduct research across different social media platforms.
