Responsibilities
The Trust & Safety Policy team develops, reviews, and implements the policies and processes that underpin our Community Guidelines to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our users and content creators to enjoy and express themselves.

As a LIVE Policy Manager on the Quality & Risk team, you will work on a product policy team focused on the TikTok LIVE content ecosystem team with a mission to develop policies and manage content intervention strategies to positively impact TikTok LIVE.

You are passionate about user safety, wake up excited to make an impact in millions of people's lives, and switch readily from thinking strategically about policy development and iteration to managing tactical enforcement decisions. Your background and professional expertise are grounded in areas related to internet policy and user safety. You also have experience bringing out the best in your colleagues and fostering a collaborative working style in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

You will work closely with various internal partners, including other members of Trust & Safety, Product teams, and Legal. In addition to policy development and enforcement strategies, you will also support internal teams that identify, triage, and remove violative content globally.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Quality Leadership: Develop initiatives to help drive alignment and quality improvements for both human and AI based moderation systems.
- Root Cause Analyses: Lead comprehensive RCA processes to address systemic moderation accuracy issues.
- Performance Analytics: Run analyses of issues within our content space, and partner with other policy, product, and operations teams to develop strategies and solutions to improve performance. Track performance improvements.
- Quality Initiatives: Lead and implement projects that seek to find efficiencies and other systematic improvements for moderation quality.
- Cross-functional Partnership: Represent T&S and collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality-driven policy updates.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in policy development and/or policy enforcement within the technology, social media, or content platform industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, politics, law, economics, behavioral sciences, or a related field.
- Ability to translate complex or ambiguous issues into clear, structured guidance.
- Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience working cross-functionally and managing projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Experience collaborating with international stakeholders across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at multiple levels.

Trust & Safety
Content that this role interacts with includes images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals. Hence, it is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.

Job Information
【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $117334 - $270000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
