OVERVIEW

Intellicheck delivers real-time, authoritative identity verification by analyzing DMV-issued ID data with a single scan to detect fake or altered IDs. Our platform minimizes false positives while ensuring a seamless, trusted experience for users, supporting both in-person and digital transactions. We verify nearly 100 million IDs annually for major banks, credit card issuers, title insurance companies, and law enforcement agencies across North America. As a hardware vendor-neutral, omnichannel SaaS solution, Intellicheck works seamlessly with your existing mobile devices and scanners to provide reliable identity verification at scale.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Engineer with at least 4 years of experience. In this role, you will partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to design, build, and deploy computer vision systems at scale, leveraging a broad stack of technologies, such as Python, AWS, PyTorch, and more to develop and optimize ML pipelines across the full model lifecycle. In addition, you will build, train, and deploy computer vision models — owning everything from architecture design and experimentation through productionization and monitoring and work cross-functionally to translate business problems into computer vision solutions, establishing scalable infrastructure, defining performance benchmarks, and implementing robust testing and validation frameworks, leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and other LLM-based platforms to accelerate development, improve code quality, and explore novel approaches and communicate technical approaches and results to key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Forward-thinking: You consistently research and evaluate emerging ML frameworks and computer vision techniques. You stay current on published state-of-the-art methods and actively seek opportunities to apply them in production systems.
  • Technical: You're comfortable working across the stack — from model development to serving infrastructure. You have hands-on experience building and deploying computer vision systems using open-source tools and cloud platforms.
  • Systems-minded: You think beyond the model. You understand the importance of scalable infrastructure, low-latency serving, and maintainable pipelines in delivering reliable ML products.
  • AI-savvy: You know how to effectively use modern AI tools and LLMs like Claude to boost productivity, assist in debugging, generate boilerplate, and explore solutions faster.
  • Collaborative: You bridge the gap between research and engineering. You work closely with data scientists to take experimental models and turn them into robust, production-ready solutions.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with open-source programming languages, particularly Python, for building ML systems.
  • Experience developing and deploying computer vision models.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, including vision-specific libraries such as OpenCV or torchvision.
  • Experience using AI development tools such as Claude, Codex, or GitHub Copilot in a professional setting.
  • Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers (GCP, Azure).
  • At least 4 years of experience in Python for ML development and data processing.
  • At least 4 years of experience building and deploying production computer vision systems.
  • At least 4 years of experience with computer vision techniques such as object detection, image segmentation, image classification, or optical flow.
  • At least 4 years of experience with ML infrastructure tooling such as MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with vision foundation models and multimodal AI systems (e.g., CLIP, SAM, or similar).
  • Experience working in identity verification, fraud detection, or trust & safety — particularly applying computer vision or ML to document analysis, biometric verification, or anomaly detection.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Must be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to coordinate multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment. We offer a collaborative work environment, competitive salary (with bonus upside), and comprehensive benefits for you and your family.
