Job Description:

This position is responsible for the fraud prevention and investigation efforts for TJX Digital, overseeing risk across e-commerce transactions, payments, appeasements, and shipping. Partners with senior leaders across Digital, Loss Prevention, and Global Payments to address fraud trends, mitigate financial exposure, and support business priorities. Leads initiatives to strengthen fraud controls, reduce chargebacks, and improve platform integrity through data-driven insights and continuous process improvement.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Manages the TJX’s Digital Fraud Prevention and Investigation Program.
  • Defines strategy and leads execution of e-commerce analytics to identify and mitigate fraud-related losses, including profit erosion, shrink, and account takeover.
  • Leads, develops, and mentors team members, providing business, technical, and operational training to strengthen performance and capabilities.
  • Manages program budgets, resource allocation, and ongoing financial analysis to support key initiatives.
  • Manages vendor relationships and procurement/operation of fraud prevention solutions to enhance detection and response capabilities.
  • Manages the initiation of external investigations based on lead generation maintaining consistent standards of evidence collection and case building.
  • Regularly reviews data and directs investigations to proactively identify suspect trends and perform root cause analysis to implement preventative system controls.
  • Coordinates cross-functional efforts with FC/DC/Store Loss Prevention, HO Investigations, Customer Service, and IT/Cyber teams to enhance detection, response, and case management capabilities.
  • Provides regular updates to Sr. Leadership on team performance, key fraud trends, and technology performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  •  Deterring, investigating, and resolving fraud and risk exposure on a sales base of $1,000,000,0000.
  • Manages $750,000 payroll budget
  • Deliver planned new systems/upgrades/enhancements that drive modernization & infrastructure stability, efficiency improvements compliance and innovations (Appeasement & Fraud Prevention Tools)
  • Leads a team of exempt and nonexempt team members. Hires, coaches and develops associates.
  • Determines best approach on all investigative, prosecution and fraud identification, analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Manages high risk shrink and fraud incidents.
  • Creates risk mitigation strategies. Identifies and implements appropriate software.
  • System optimization

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Business, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum job skills required to perform this job

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions, revise business strategies to support the vision of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with multiple departments and Senior Leadership as well as use multiple communication sources.
  • High knowledge of loss prevention system and technologies, computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Minimum experience required to perform this job:

Five years progressive management experience in Retail, preferably off-price, with experience in people management, operations, loss prevention, or investigations.

This position has a starting salary range of $117,000.00 to $152,100.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
