About Emergent :-
Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that replace traditional software development by generating, testing, and deploying production applications directly from plain-language intent. Our systems run in production at global scale and are used to build millions of real applications.

Since public launch, Emergent has reached $100M ARR in 8 months. 6.5M+ users across 190+ countries have built 7Mapplications on Emergent. We've raised $100M, backed by Khosla Ventures, SoftBank, Google, Lightspeed, Prosus, Together, and Y Combinator. We're solving the hardest problems in running a global AI platform at scale: trust, safety, fraud, and platform integrity. Our team includes repeat founders, Olympiad medalists, IIT & IIM alumni, and leaders from Google, Amazon, and Dropbox. We're hiring builders who want ownership, speed, and impact at global scale.

About the Role :-
As Platform Integrity Lead, you will own everything that keeps Emergent safe for legitimate users and defensible to the outside world. You will be the first dedicated hire in this function, which means you'll be setting the playbook — defining policies, building detection logic with engineering, making the hard calls on grey-area cases, and scaling the function as the platform grows.
This role sits at the intersection of fraud detection, content policy, and platform operations. You will work directly with engineering,
legal, and leadership and will have the autonomy to hire your own team once the function is established.

What will you do :-

  • Own end-to-end abuse and fraud response — from detection through investigation, decision, takedown, and appeal — across all violation categories including phishing, impersonation, brand abuse, hate speech, and coordinated fraud networks.
  • Investigate platform fraud independently: referral credit abuse, compute farming, multi-account networks, and financial fraud schemes — pulling data, identifying patterns, and driving account actions.
  • Make confident takedown decisions on flagged apps, including ambiguous cases where policy is not black and white; document reasoning clearly for each decision.
  • Partner with engineering to define and improve automated detection systems — classifier prompts, review queues, admin tooling, and webhook integrations with infrastructure providers.
  • Build and maintain Emergent's abuse response policies, violation tier framework, and internal SOPs; keep them current as the platform and threat landscape evolve.
  • Handle inbound abuse reports from external parties — rights holders, brand protection teams, and infrastructure providers — and manage the full response lifecycle.
  • Define the appeal process and handle escalated appeals; maintain case logs and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify systemic gaps in detection coverage and drive improvements proactively, not just reactively.
  • Hire and onboard the next analyst into the function when volume demands it.

What are we looking for :-

  • 4–7 years of experience in trust & safety, platform fraud, risk operations, or a closely related function at a technology company — fintech, consumer platform, or marketplace.
  • Demonstrated track record of independently identifying and actioning coordinated abuse or fraud networks, not just processing individual cases in a queue.
  • Intermediate SQL / data analytics skills — able to write queries independently, build investigation cohorts from raw data, and spot anomalies without waiting for an analyst; familiarity with BigQuery or similar is a plus.
  • Comfortable reading code, API responses, and logs at a surface level — enough to understand what a deployed app is doing, follow a fork chain, and ask the right questions of engineering without needing hand-holding.
  • Strong policy judgment — able to make confident decisions on Tier 2/3 grey-area cases (controversial speech, adult content, ambiguous impersonation) and articulate the reasoning clearly in writing.
  • Adversarial mindset — assumes bad actors are actively probing for gaps and designs responses accordingly; prior experience with multi-account fingerprinting, referral fraud rings, or compute abuse is a strong plus.
  • Clear, precise written communication — able to draft takedown notices, external policy documents, internal SOPs, and escalation briefs without legal review for every line.
  • Working knowledge of platform liability frameworks relevant to a global product — DMCA, IT Act basics, GDPR considerations; knows when to loop in legal vs. when to act independently.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and speed in an early-stage environment; this is a build-from-scratch role, not a process- following one.
