About the Team
The Platform Trust & Experience (PTE) team, operating under TikTok LIVE, is the dedicated central hub for all USDS Risk Control and Service efforts. Our overarching vision is to best serve our users by providing a safe and fulfilling user experience that allows them to thrive on LIVE. Our core mission is to be the cornerstone that builds trust, enhances experience, assures safety, and improves efficiency for everyone, users, creators, and agencies alike. We operate as a pivotal global communication hub, strategically focused across three critical areas: Risk, Host Creator, and Paid User, making sure every facet of the LIVE experience is protected.

To fulfill this mission and uphold LIVE's value, the PTE team proactively collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic organizational alignment and efficiency, improve compliance efficiency, and mitigate various compliance risks that could impact the platform's stability.

Responsibilities
- Framework Design & Strategy: Develop and maintain a robust Risk Control Matrix (RCM) and governance framework that aligns with industry standards.
- Program Management: Lead end-to-end Risk Control initiatives by defining project scope, timelines, and stakeholders; driving execution to deliverables; and ensuring projects achieve agreed KPIs.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central nervous system for risk reporting, collaborating with Legal, Finance, Payment and Operations, to ensure a unified approach to mitigation.
- Proactive Mitigation: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on emerging threats and historical "near-misses" to prevent recurrence.
- Data-driven Reporting & Analysis: Synthesize complex risk and operational data into clear dashboards and executive-ready reports (e.g., weekly/monthly business reviews) that highlight key trends, anomalies, and root-cause insights, translating findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Change Management: Drive organizational adoption of new control processes, ensuring compliance isn't just a "check-the-box" activity but a core operational value.
- Operational Process Architecture: Design and deploy scalable, end-to-end workflows for new business units, optimizing for both operational efficiency and rigorous control points.
- Pilot & Launch Oversight: Serve as the primary risk consultant for new product launches, conducting pre-mortem analyses to identify potential failure modes and establishing monitoring protocols for the post-launch phase.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant experience in risk, compliance, and/or customer-facing operations within technology, financial services, e-commerce, or digital payments (including internships, co-ops, or other hands-on training).
- Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex and confidential information into clear, concise outputs tailored to multiple audiences (e.g., frontline teams, leadership, cross-functional partners).
- Proven program/project management capability, with a self-starter mindset and the ability to independently drive the continuous improvement cycle (identify issues → propose solutions → execute → measure → iterate) in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong data analytics skills, including comfort with metrics definitions, trend analysis, segmentation, and translating insights into operational improvements.

Preferred Qualifications
- Depth in risk assessment / risk intelligence, including the ability to combine quantitative analysis with qualitative insights (e.g., escalations, QA findings, user feedback) to identify and respond to emerging risks.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88000 - $151112 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).​
