Freelance Public Affairs Writers & Policy Analysts (VAT-based collaboration)

About Us:

Politruck, is a Brussels-based Public Affairs and Lobbying consultancy, we help our clients – including companies, trade associations, and NGOs – understand and navigate the EU policy landscape.

To support the increasing demand for high-quality analysis and tailored reporting, we are looking to expand our pool of freelance collaborators.

Key responsibilities

Drafting in-depth policy reports, briefings, and monitoring notes on EU legislative and regulatory files

Analyzing political and institutional developments relevant to specific sectors (e.g. energy, digital, environment, health, transport)

Conducting desk research and summarizing official documents, stakeholder positions, and policy trends

Ensuring accuracy, clarity, and a professional tone adapted to the target audience (corporate clients, associations, institutions)

Who we're looking for

Freelancers with a valid VAT number and the ability to issue invoices

Proven experience (even junior-level) in EU public affairs, policy analysis, communications, or journalism

Strong understanding of EU institutions, geopolitical and geoeconomics landscape, and legislative processes

Excellent written communication skills in English

Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and adaptability to different topics and formats

Familiarity with EU sources (EUR-Lex, EP documents, stakeholder websites, etc.)
