About the Team
The Trust & Safety Policy Planning & Deployment team serves as the central function responsible for enabling the successful implementation of Trust & Safety policies across the organization. Bringing together Planning, Policy Deployment, Training, and Tooling, the team ensures policy changes are operationally ready, consistently implemented, and scalable across global moderation ecosystems.
Working closely with Policy Development, Product Policy, Planning, and Operations teams, the team drives the end-to-end implementation of policy changes, from deployment through operational readiness, tooling, training, and post-launch analysis, helping translate policy decisions into effective, sustainable moderation outcomes.
About the Role
As a Policy Deployment Manager, you will coordinate the implementation of Trust & Safety policies across multiple product areas and policy domains, helping ensure policy changes are implemented consistently across human moderation, machine learning enforcement, and supporting moderation systems.
Working closely with Policy Development, Planning, Training, Product Policy, and Operations teams, you will coordinate deployment activities, support operational readiness, manage Policy Notices, and help ensure policy changes are successfully implemented across global moderation teams. You'll help translate policy decisions into clear operational processes that support consistent, high-quality moderation.
Success in this role requires strong organizational and program management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, coordinating stakeholders, and contributing to improvements that make policy deployments more efficient and scalable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end deployment of Trust & Safety policy updates across multiple product and policy areas, ensuring consistent, timely, and scalable implementation.
- Coordinate policy deployment activities, including deployment calendars, implementation timelines, cross-functional dependencies, and rollout milestones to support successful global launches.
- Support operational readiness for policy deployments by partnering with Planning, Training, and Operations stakeholders to align deployment plans and execution activities.
- Facilitate policy launches by partnering with Policy Planning teams to help ensure policy changes are deployment-ready and successfully implemented across moderation workflows.
- Own the Policy Notices process, coordinating the creation, review, and distribution of enforcement guidance to ensure policy updates are communicated clearly and consistently to global moderation teams.
- Partner with Product Policy teams to assess the operational impact of policy changes, support implementation readiness, and identify deployment requirements for new policy updates.
- Manage updates across policy implementation systems and documentation, including PMS, OPUS, Decision Trees, Multi-tagging, databases, and related policy resources, ensuring consistency and accuracy across moderation systems.
- Oversee proofreading and localization activities for policy documentation, working with regional stakeholders to ensure high-quality policy content across supported languages prior to deployment.
- Build and maintain deployment processes, SOPs, governance documentation, and workflows to improve consistency, efficiency, and operational scalability.
- Capture deployment learnings to continuously improve deployment processes and operational readiness.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Law, Business Administration, Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Policy Operations, Policy Deployment, Program Management, Operations Strategy, or other cross-functional operational roles.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving Policy, Operations, Product, Platform, or related stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Trust & Safety moderation workflows, policy deployment processes, and operational quality systems.
- Experience managing large-scale policy deployments, operational training programs, change management initiatives or global implementation projects.
- Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, drive alignment across cross-functional teams with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving profile, with excellent written and verbal communication skills,
and the ability to translate complex policy requirements into clear operational plans and processes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualification(s)
- Experience working with policy management systems and moderation tools such as PMS, OPUS, Lighthouse, or similar internal platforms.
- Experience coordinating global policy launches or large-scale operational change management initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted moderation systems and model workflows and processes.
- Experience developing deployment documentation, operational playbooks, SOPs, or deployment frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes through standardization, automation, or scalable deployment practices.
