Job Overview
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our Policy & Strategy team within the EU Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) department. As an Analyst – Policy & Strategy, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our AML/CFT policy framework, support risk methodology improvements, and help monitor regulatory developments across the EU and beyond. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a robust compliance framework at the intersection of crypto innovation and EU regulatory expectations.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining and updating internal AML/CFT, sanctions, and governance policies in alignment with FM-GwG, FATF guidance, and MiCAR obligations. Conduct benchmarking against best practices and regulatory expectations.
Support the development, testing, and documentation of internal risk models, including Customer Risk Assessment (CRA), product and coin risk rating, and transaction monitoring thresholds.
Research EU and global regulatory updates related to financial crime, crypto-assets, and digital compliance. Summarize and communicate findings for internal stakeholders and policy teams.
Maintain and enhance compliance dashboards, performance reports, and board-level summaries. Provide structured input to internal governance processes and periodic risk assessments.
Collaborate with QA, transaction monitoring, and controls teams to ensure consistency in AFC interpretation and implementation. Contribute to preparation for audits, regulatory inspections, and internal testing.
Act as an internal point of contact for regulatory questions and policy interpretation for business, operations, product, and AFC teams.
Job Requirements
1–3 years of professional experience in AFC/AML, legal/policy, risk management, or compliance—ideally within financial services, consulting, or the crypto sector.
Based in Vienna or willing to relocate.
Solid understanding of European AML/CFT rules (e.g., Austrian FM-GwG, 6AMLD), sanctions compliance, and crypto-specific regulations such as the Transfer of Funds Regulation.
Comfortable with regulatory text interpretation, risk scoring models, and control frameworks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable internal documents. German proficiency is an asset.
Detail-oriented, structured, and proactive. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and contribute to cross-functional collaboration. Curious and committed to continuous learning and regulatory excellence.
