Microsoft AI (MAI) is seeking an experienced Principal Data Privacy Engineer to help build mission applications and platform components for our personal AI, Copilot systems. We’re looking for someone who possesses technical prowess, a methodical approach to problem-solving, proficiency in distributed systems and a mastery of templating to architect solutions that stand the test of time and who will bring an abundance of positive energy, empathy, and kindness to the team every day, in addition to being highly effective. This role is pivotal in ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and secure data usage across the organization.

 

Our newly formed organization, MAI, is dedicated to advancing Copilot and other consumer AI products and research. The team is responsible for Copilot, Bing, Edge, and generative AI research. Come be a part of the team shaping the future personal computing.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.
