Lead the response to privacy incidents and data breaches — including investigation, documentation, and corrective actions
Partner with Security, Data Governance and AI Governance teams on controls frameworks, embedding privacy by design principles
Work cross-functionally with Legal, People, Marketing, and other functions to ensure privacy best practice is integrated throughout the business
Support the design and delivery of privacy training to enhance awareness and accountability across the organisation
Monitor regulatory developments across the UK, EU, US, and beyond, ensuring compliance with GDPR, PECR, CCPA, and emerging AI regulations
Who you are:

Proven people leader with strong experience in managing and developing privacy teams
Deep expertise in privacy and data protection, including DPIAs, ROPAs, retention processes, and privacy notices
Strong track record managing data subject rights and investigating privacy incidents or breaches
Knowledge of global privacy laws and ability to apply them pragmatically in a business context
AI-first digital native, experienced in leveraging AI and other forms of automation to improve the speed, efficiency and quality of delivery within the privacy AI compliance space
Familiar with delivering high level customer service through workflow tools (e.g. Zendesk, Salesforce, ServiceNow) and marketing/CRM platforms
Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels — with a proactive, hands-on approach
Skilled communicator and influencer, able to engage stakeholders across jurisdictions and seniority levels
High ethical standards, integrity, and a passion for responsible use of data and AI
CIPP or other privacy qualifications desirable; experience in SaaS, marketplace, or listed companies a plus
