We are looking for a proactive, sharp, and passionate Privacy & Compliance Counsel to join our legal team.

As a Privacy & Compliance Counsel, you will manage privacy and regulatory compliance aspects across all business units, develop and implement policies and practices in these respects, and ensure adherence.

Depending on the company’s needs and your development, there may also be an opportunity for this role to grow into serving as the company’s Data Protection Officer (DPO).


Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, communication, and implementation of policies and
  • procedures that accurately reflect privacy compliance requirements, industry best practices, and company objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and address potential compliance risks - while partnering with various departments and outside counsel to establish risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor, audit, and ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and compliance regulations requirements (e.g., KYC, AML) relevant to the company operations.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry regulations, developments in privacy, and other applicable laws and standards - while providing expert guidance to stakeholders.
  • Support and collaborate with our business units in all aspects of global privacy regulations, data protection, and customer-related queries.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (preferably in the gaming industry), as in-house legal counsel or as a senior associate in a top-tier law firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR and US states' privacy laws), and practical compliance aspects (KYC, AML).
  • Understanding of the mobile and gaming industry and its particular regulatory challenges.
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking.
  • Team player with superb interpersonal skills; commitment to working in a dynamic environment; and ability to establish relationships across the company.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage time and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to turn complex concepts into actionable recommendations.
  • Fluent in English.
