Your New Role:
The Privacy Manager, Operations will manage the privacy operation team and oversee the day-to-day privacy operations processes, working closely with technology, legal, and product partners to ensure regulatory compliance SLAs are met.



Your Role Accountabilities:

MANAGE PRIVACY OPERATIONS

Responsible for overseeing daily privacy operations, including ensuring global IRR/DSARs are completed within the regulatory SLA.

Management of the externally facing WBD privacy inbox, including triaging and responding to consumer requests and inquiries.

Ensuring global process playbooks remain current and updated to comply with new regulations or changes to existing regulations.

Collaborate with engineering, product, and legal teams to modify processes in response to new or changing regulations.

Work closely with the GPS Projects team to transition the BAU function of any new project upon go-live.

Accountable for calculating privacy operations metrics, including CCPA metrics published on the WBD Privacy Center.

Engage with Privacy Legal partners on complex IRR issues or inbox inquiries.

Track and escalate regulatory inquiries as needed.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.

Manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners.



PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Manage one Privacy Analyst and several global Privacy Contractors.

Supervise US-based Privacy Interns.



Qualifications & Experiences:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 

Detailed knowledge of privacy laws and regulations globally such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) 

7+ years privacy operations experience

3+ years of management experience

3+ years OneTrust experience

Experienced in documenting and implementing procedures and processes  

Previous experience working on compliance or legal initiatives 

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail 

Quickly get up to speed on new subject matter and complex data initiatives 

Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills, able to quickly build relationships with stakeholders at all levels 

Capable communicator (written and verbal)  

Technology savvy and capable of issue spotting privacy problems 

Ability to see the bigger picture, but also get into details to provide a credible opinion on complex subject matter 

Proven ability to persuade, build consensus and work on a collaborative team with all levels of management, internally and externally 

Advanced MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Project) 



Not Required but preferred experience:

MBA or Privacy Certification (e.g. CIPP, CIPM, etc.)

1+ years experience in a related field (entertainment or media)

Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)

Familiarity with streaming and similar products/services

Experience working in a national or global company

Some visualization tool knowledge would be helpful (i.e. Tableau, Power BI)

Comfortable in working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment
