Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Privacy Project Manager with a strong background in software privacy and hands-on experience conducting privacy reviews to support compliance initiatives across the engineering teams. This role ensures effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, provides guidance to stakeholders on privacy requirements, and embeds privacy best practices into business processes, systems, and initiatives, promoting organization-wide understanding and ownership of privacy responsibilities.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams (including PMs, engineers, designers, data scientists) to gather system details, conduct comprehensive privacy reviews, and embed privacy considerations into business processes, systems, and initiatives, fostering a strong culture of privacy awareness and accountability across the organization.
  • Assist in privacy consultations by effectively communicating privacy-related information, advising stakeholders on compliance requirements and obligations, and direct them to appropriate resources for additional support.
  • Conduct privacy reviews, ensuring that organizational practices comply with established privacy standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure sign-off processes with Privacy Champs and other required stakeholders are completed before advancing to new release stages.
  • Support completion of new and revised Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), managing privacy incident triage, and executing of Data Subject Requests (DSRs).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3+ years’ experience as a Privacy Manager is required.
  • CIPM/CIPP/CIPT certifications are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of how privacy principles apply in software development — including data minimization, purpose limitation, and privacy-by-design practices throughout the product lifecycle (from design and coding to telemetry and data sharing).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Windows ecosystem is a plus.
  • Occasional infrequent in person activity may be required
