What this role is all about:

The Privacy Specialist will be focused on managing and maintaining the company’s privacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements. It involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners on privacy matters, facilitating privacy assessments and audits, supporting contractual processes related to data handling, and contributing to privacy training and awareness programs. The role also includes maintaining privacy documentation, records, and internal tools to support effective privacy management across the organization.

What you will do:

• Maintaining existing privacy policies and procedures (is responsible for the revision and regular updates of privacy policies and procedures from initial assessment, drafting of documentation, tuning it with the stakeholders, up until the publication).

• Cooperating with internal stakeholders, as well as with customers, suppliers, and other partners in privacy matters and supporting internal stakeholders in the tendering and contracting process.

• Facilitating the privacy assessments and audits performed by customers, suppliers, and other partners.

• Facilitating the privacy assessments of vendors and service providers and the conclusion of data processing, data sharing, and data transfer agreements with them.

• Assisting in reviews and creating of the company’s privacy guidelines and procedures and documentation regarding data protection.

• Maintaining the Privacy department’s intranet page.

• Participating in the creation and implementation of privacy training and awareness programs.

• Assisting in maintaining records of processing activities and in administering the Privacy Department’s internal tools.

• Assisting in identifying and evaluating the privacy requirements of the company and providing advice on how to comply with them to internal stakeholders.

What makes you a strong fit:

  • You have legal or IT security background and at least 2 years of working experience.

  • You have very good understanding of data protection legislation and privacy landscape, especially GDPR and ePrivacy legislation.

  • You have general understanding of IT technologies concerning processing and storing data.

  • You have an ability to adapt fast and like working in a high-paced environment.

  • Your written/oral communication skills are excellent, and you enjoy working with multiple diverse stakeholders.

  • You’re curious and continuously expand your skills, and you are interested to learn more about business, technology, processes, law…

  • Taking initiative and working independently comes naturally to you.

  • You are the team player and build positive, lasting relationships with colleagues in the team.

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Having IAPP, ISACA, or comparable certifications in the fields of privacy and information security is a plus, though not mandatory.
