OuttakeAbout Outtake
Outtake exists to empower and facilitate trust for a digital-first world. Today, impersonation, fraud, AI-driven scams, and identity abuse spread faster than any security team can respond to. So we built something different: an agentic AI platform that proactively detects, monitors, and takes down impersonators, automating protection in hours, not weeks.
Built by ex-Palantir, ex-CTO/founders, and ex-Notion engineers, Outtake is designed for clarity, autonomy, and velocity. Our goal is ambitious: become the trust layer of the modern internet. And we intend to do it with a lean, dense, exceptionally talented team.
Outtake is backed by top-tier investors and operators who believe in our mission and our model. With strong financial footing and a long runway, we prioritize creating an environment where people can do the best work of their careers.
The Role
This is a product design role. You will be Outtake's third product designer, working closely with product and engineering teams to shape how Outtake looks, feels, and works — from complex workflow builders to the small interactions that make powerful tools feel intuitive.
AI is making fraud and disinformation cheaper to create and harder to detect. Outtake's mission is to make falsehoods expensive and truth cheap. You will design tools that help people investigate threats, understand who's behind them, and take action — work that helps build an internet where people and AI agents can trust one another.
This is a full-stack product design role for someone excited to tackle a complex product in a rapidly evolving space. You will need to be product-minded, have strong visual instincts, and be a builder at heart — someone who takes initiative, gets curious about unfamiliar problems, and learns by making things and putting them in customers' hands.
What You’ll Do
Design complex interfaces that make powerful tools easy to use, helping users investigate threats, explore connections across campaigns, and direct AI agents.
Make autonomous agent work visible, understandable, and easy to steer.
Shape visual design across the product, establishing and evolving how Outtake looks and feels as we grow.
Partner closely with engineering and product to ship fast and iterate based on real user feedback.
Contribute to UX decisions and product strategy, not just execution.
Evolve our design system and bring AI into the way we explore, prototype, and build.
Create tools and practices that help designers, engineers, and product managers move faster and consistently ship well-designed products.
Engage directly with customers and their feedback to ground your work in real problems.
As the design team grows, we expect this role to take on broader ownership over design culture and practice at Outtake.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of product design experience, ideally at early-stage or high-growth companies where you've had to own outcomes end-to-end.
Comfort designing technically complex products, with the ability to get deep into a domain, solve unfamiliar UX problems, and make layered information clear and useful.
A deeply product-minded approach, with genuine care for users and a desire to grow your product strategy skills.
Low ego, with the ability to give and receive feedback openly without getting precious about your work.
A bias toward moving fast and iterating, shipping v1s and improving from there rather than polishing in isolation.
Comfort working collaboratively while also navigating ambiguity and owning your work fully without hand-holding.
Strong visual design instincts, with a sharp eye that elevates the craft of what we ship.
Nice to have: experience designing for AI, automation, or agent-based systems.
Nice to have: a background in cybersecurity, trust & safety, or risk-related products.
Nice to have: familiarity with prototyping tools beyond static mocks.
Nice to have: active use of AI tools in your design workflow, with ongoing experimentation in how to leverage them.
Nice to have: experience as an early design hire who helped shape design culture from the ground up.You actively use AI tools in your design workflow and are always experimenting with new ways to leverage them.
You've been an early design hire and helped shape design culture from the ground up.
