Product Manager

Contrails AI is an early-stage, VC-backed startup building AI for a safer internet. We tackle deepfake and synthetic media investigation, multimodal content understanding and moderation, and internet-scale threat intelligence.

Role Description

We're looking for a Product Manager who has built products from 0→1, someone who has taken an idea from concept to launch, navigated uncertainty, and shipped products that solve real customer problems.

You'll work closely with founders, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to define product strategy, validate customer needs, and drive end-to-end execution in a fast-paced AI startup.

Primary goals in this role:

• Problem validation & MVP building: find the real problem worth solving, validate it with customers, and get a working MVP into their hands fast
• Ensuring successful delivery of client pilots: own pilots end to end, from scoping and success criteria to conversion
• Ensuring daily delivery for production-live clients: keep live customers shipping and successful, day in and day out

Qualifications

Mandatory:

• 2–4 years of Product Management experience in a startup or SaaS environment
• Proven 0→1 product-building experience (mandatory)
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end product execution, from identifying a problem to launching a solution
• Strong analytical thinking and first-principles problem-solving
• Technical understanding of software development, APIs, databases, and product development workflows
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, written and spoken

Nice to have:

• Engineering background (B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or related field preferred)
• Experience working directly with founders or founding teams
• Hands-on experience with AI tools for product research, prototyping, or workflow optimization
• Familiarity with Figma, Jira, Notion, and product analytics tools
• Interest or experience in AI, trust & safety, content moderation, or cybersecurity products
