Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager, Product Fraud Prevention role for a 1-year contract role with a client in Cupertino, CA (Hybrid). We’re ideally looking for an applicant with Must have payments industry experience (credit cards, banks, gift cards, cash equivalents) and Fraud exposure required (fraud prevention, fraud mitigation, scam industry knowledge). Bonus: Degree in International Relations/International Affairs.

Pay Range: $67-$70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

The Gift Card Product team is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Project Manager to support fraud prevention initiatives that protect users and preserve the integrity of our gift card ecosystem.
This role focuses on improving internal processes, coordinating with key cross-functional partners, and ensuring our fraud prevention efforts are aligned, efficient, effective across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a passion for consumer protection, and the ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.

Description
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to execute fraud prevention initiatives defined by the Gift Card Product team. In this role, you will:
Coordinate cross-functional efforts to address fraud-related issues, partnering closely with Analytics, Business Operations, Trust & Safety, and Legal teams.
Analyze fraud data to uncover trends, root causes, and systemic risks, informing strategic product decisions and process enhancements.
Support the implementation of fraud prevention process and policy improvements by ensuring stakeholder alignment and project clarity.
Maintain documentation, timelines, and consistent communication across ongoing projects.
Prepare materials and summaries for leadership updates and operational reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, project/product management.
Proven ability to coordinate across teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable interpreting complex datasets to inform decisions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues, risks, and recommendations.
Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy and diplomacy.
Ideal candidate will have experience working with gift cards, digital payments, or other stored-value products.
