Analyst
Meta is seeking a Public Policy Analyst to support the team responsible for shaping technology policy across key issue areas including AI, privacy, content governance, and platform regulation. In this role, you will contribute to policy research, stakeholder engagement, and program execution that helps Meta navigate the evolving regulatory landscape and communicate the value of its products and platforms to policymakers and external partners. You will work closely with policy professionals across the organization to advance Meta's positions on emerging legislative and regulatory developments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy research and analysis on legislative, regulatory, and governmental developments relevant to Meta's products and platforms
  • Prepare briefing materials, policy summaries, and talking points to support engagement with government officials and external stakeholders
  • Track and synthesize policy trends across issue areas such as AI governance, data privacy, content moderation, and digital platform regulation
  • Support the planning and execution of policy programs, roundtables, and stakeholder engagement events
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, communications, and product to align policy positions with business priorities
  • Assist in drafting written submissions, public comments, and policy position papers for regulatory proceedings
  • Identify and engage relevant external stakeholders including civil society organizations, academic institutions, and industry coalitions
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline policy research workflows, synthesize large volumes of regulatory information, and improve the quality and speed of deliverables
  • Support internal reporting on policy developments and contribute to team documentation and knowledge management


Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in public policy, government relations, legislative affairs, or a related field
  • Experience conducting policy research and translating complex regulatory or legislative content into clear written summaries
  • Experience preparing written materials such as briefings, memos, or policy analyses for internal or external audiences
  • Experience identifying and engaging stakeholders to support policy or advocacy initiatives
  • Experience adapting communication style and approach based on audience needs, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Familiarity with technology policy issue areas such as AI regulation, data privacy, content governance, or platform accountability
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams to coordinate policy positions or program execution
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to redesign research or analytical workflows and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency or output quality
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience supporting stakeholder engagement or government affairs programs at a technology company, trade association, or public sector organization
