We are looking for a public policy expert with a knowledge of the political and regulatory issues that apply to Meta's services, AI models and products, knowledge of the specific political and regulatory environment in the UK and experience working with policy stakeholders in the UK. Successful applicants will become part of a thriving team that is dealing with some of the most interesting public policy and regulatory issues of our time, including the regulation of AI, competition, youth safety, and driving a policy agenda focused on innovation and economic growth. This role will be based in London and is a full-time role, ideally starting by the end of July 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of policy strategies and policy narratives together with other teams to achieve company goals in public policy
  • Help build coalitions with other organizations such as trade associations and companies to advance policy goals of Meta
  • Represent Meta in meetings with government officials and elected members of parliament
  • Monitor legislation affecting Meta in the UK and advise the company with respect to policy challenges
  • Support Public Policy Team with organization of events and bilateral meetings as well as internal administrative tasks


Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working on relevant policy and regulatory issues such as AI, platform regulation, competition, innovation more broadly and youth protection
  • Experience in working with politicians and government officials as well as in assessing and explaining complex policy issues
  • Ability to articulate and advocate for the social and economic benefits of new technologies, such as AI, and Meta's products
  • Full fluency in English required to engage with UK government officials, parliamentarians, and policy stakeholders
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams from a wide range of disciplines


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in UK politics and/or UK law making
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
