As a Public Policy Manager, AI Innovation, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to design, create, develop and execute on various partnerships that demonstrate the value of Meta’s open-source AI models and GenAI products to a policy audience, including with governments. You will do this in close collaboration with various cross functional colleagues internally, including other policy, product, marketing, partnerships and legal teams. You will also be responsible for identifying and building a cohort of policy-relevant stakeholders to support our advocacy of open-source and other Meta AI models and products. The role requires knowledge and experience of AI technology, and the various policy considerations associated with this frontier technology. In this role, you will also manage strategic outreach and policy campaigns to advance the values and interests of the company. You will advocate for Meta on the value of the open-source models and technology we are building, and the positive economic and social impact it is having in the world today and into the future. You’ll be right in the thick of the most advanced technological advancements, helping to build an ecosystem focused on the value of our products.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and execute on external partnerships built on Meta’s open-source models and technologies, including with government departments and agencies, working in close collaboration with internal partners Design, develop and execute on demonstrations that showcase our open-source models, the applications built on them, and compelling experiences and partners that highlight the value of our AI products Identify and build a community of external stakeholders that support our open-source models and other Meta AI products Analyze resource needs and policy impact to plan and assess the feasibility of projects Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to both internal and external partners Develop, review and recommend contracts and cost estimates for approval

Qualifications

Proven knowledge of emergent metaverse, wearables and generative AI technologies, and how they intersect with policy considerations Proven knowledge of how governments work and the broader political environment in which they operate Demonstrated experience to work horizontally and collaboratively, both internally and externally. Knowledge of the tech environment, ideally with a focus on public policy and the digital economy 8+ years of experience in public policy Bachelor's degree in public policy/business administration or a related field 2+ years of experience at a tech company or digital policy environment Master’s degree
