Meta is seeking a Public Policy Manager to join our International Institutions team, supporting Meta's engagement on international organizations and international policy issues. This person will work across a range of international policy, content, and product areas, collaborating with policy, communications, legal, and operational teams to support global executives, as well as the broader policy organization. The role will focus on Meta’s engagement with multilateral and multistakeholder organizations, economic groups, and international trade associations, shaping Meta’s positions and strategies in global fora.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Policy, Legal, Communications, Product, and Operations) on international policy and product-related decisions, proactively identifying and assessing risks and opportunities, and managing related processes
  • Capture and synthesize feedback from internal and external stakeholders, driving clarity and understanding on complex international issues
  • Produce and present internal communications for leadership, providing situational analysis (including risks and opportunities), options, and cross-functional perspectives to assist in executive decision-making
  • Help coordinate Meta’s relationships with key multilateral organizations (UN, OECD, ITU, etc.) and officials, and represent Meta in high-stakes international policy forums and negotiations when warranted
  • Help inform policy development, partnering with subject-matter experts to provide a public policy perspective on international digital/ICT matters
  • Develop and execute project plans for complex, multi-workstream programs with global implications, regularly reporting progress and impact to leadership


Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in international digital/ICT policy, public policy, law, government, international relations, or a related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience of international organizations’ processes and decision-making frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience simplifying complex international issues and managing time-critical projects through to completion while balancing evolving priorities
  • Experience providing decision support and advice to executives, including briefing leadership
  • Effective at consensus-building and communicating with internal audiences across regions
  • Demonstrated experience operating working under your own initiative, seeking feedback and input when appropriated, in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and drive results with minimal oversight


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (JD, or equivalent)
  • Prior work experience with multilateral organizations and economic groups
  • Experience in internet/technology policy or industry
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to international fora
  • Experience in international negotiations or treaty processes
  • Existing relationships with key stakeholders in the international policy community


$153,000/year to $224,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
