About the role
Bolt is leading the charge in transforming urban mobility across the Nordics. This crucial role involves managing regulatory challenges, forging strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance to support Bolt's strategic objectives. Based in Oslo, the Public Policy Manager will play a pivotal role in navigating the regulatory landscape and influencing policy to facilitate Bolt's growth and operational success.
What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Oversee Bolt’s regulatory, compliance, and political communications strategies in Norway (also covering Denmark and Iceland), aligning them with Bolt's operational goals and urban mobility mission.
Provide expert regulatory guidance and compliance oversight to Bolt's commercial teams, transforming complex legislation into actionable strategies for business growth.
Build and maintain influential relationships with stakeholders such as regulators, political figures, and business partners to advocate for favorable policies and ensure compliance.
Manage Bolt's licensing requirements through regular compliance audits and the acquisition of new licenses to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Collaborate with Bolt's commercial and product teams to create and implement strategic plans that address the unique challenges and opportunities in the Nordic markets.
Direct Bolt’s public relations efforts, managing media inquiries and corporate communications to maintain a positive public image and align with corporate objectives.
What we expect
About you:
Bring at least 5 years of experience in legal, compliance, public policy, or regulatory roles, particularly focusing on the Norwegian market and ideally with exposure to other Nordic markets.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of Norway's regulatory and licensing landscape, especially in mobility and transport services.
Show a proven track record in developing and executing public policy strategies and managing corporate communications within a regulatory environment.
Possess excellent communication skills, able to clearly and persuasively articulate complex regulatory issues to diverse audiences; fluency in English and proficiency in other local languages highly regarded.
Maintain strong relationships with governmental and regulatory bodies, securing cooperation and advocacy for organizational objectives.
Exhibit high organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively; hold at least a bachelor’s degree in law, public policy, political science, or related fields, with advanced studies preferred.
