Remote Engagement Moderation - American Football Fans
ModSquadWe Could Use Someone Like You in Our Crew.
We are recruiting Engagement Moderators to support a high-profile live sports streaming project serving English-speaking audiences.
This project focuses on real-time engagement and moderation during live sports events. Moderators will interact with fans before, during, and after events while helping to maintain an engaging, respectful, and brand-aligned online community.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strong digital engagement skills with deep knowledge of American football and the NFL.
We're Looking for NFL Super Fans!
Knowing the sport isn't optional for this project.
We're looking for people who actively follow the NFL and understand the conversations happening around the league. Not simply someone who occasionally watches a game.
You May be a Great Fit if You:
Follow an NFL team, players, and league developments throughout the season
Regularly watch NFL games
Understand the rules, terminology, positions, teams, and major players
Keep up with current NFL news, storylines, statistics, and trends
Participate in fantasy football leagues or other NFL communities
Are comfortable recognizing and responding naturally to football terminology, jokes, references, and fan culture
You should be able to follow a fast-moving NFL conversation without needing to research basic context.
What You Will do:
Monitor and moderate live audience engagement across digital platforms during sporting events
Respond to audience comments in real time while maintaining the appropriate brand tone and voice
Foster positive, inclusive, and engaging online communities
Identify and take appropriate action on inappropriate or policy-violating content
Adapt messaging based on event context, audience sentiment, and established brand guidelines
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth live-event coverage
Maintain accuracy, speed, and consistency during high-volume engagement periods
Stay informed about relevant NFL developments to engage authentically with fans.
What We Are Looking For:
Native-level fluency in English, including excellent reading comprehension and written communication
Excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
Deep and current knowledge of American football and the NFL
Strong familiarity with American sports culture, terminology, humor, and online fan conversations
Previous experience in social media moderation, community management, digital engagement, or a related field
Live engagement or live-event moderation experience preferred
Ability to adapt quickly to different brand voices and communication styles
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume live environments
Comfortable communicating directly with clients and internal stakeholders
Ability to remain professional when dealing with passionate, frustrated, or provocative fans
Workspace Requirements:
A dedicated laptop or desktop
Minimum of 8 GB RAM
Reliable internet connection
Willingness to install ModSquad security software and enable two-factor authentication on both your device and mobile phone
Project Hours & Commitment:
Because this project supports live NFL events, available hours are determined by the football schedule and may change from week to week.
Coverage is typically available:
Sunday: Afternoon and evening
Monday: Evening
Individual events generally require approximately 3-5 hours of coverage
Weekend and evening availability is required
Candidates should have flexibility around live-game scheduled and understand that available hours may fluctuate throughout the season.
Orientation will begin upon onboarding.
