If so, we invite you to embark on an impactful journey with us at IMDA's Online Communications Office (OCO) as a Risk Analysis Ops Manager, Online Safety.
Your Impactful Role (Key Responsibilities):
Information planning & collection – Supporting OCO by triaging and refining Information collection requests to analyse emerging trends and risks due to new product/service/policy launches in the online safety space.
Information processing & analysis – Aggregating and enriching collected information, e.g., through ops data using quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques, including risk mitigation.
Information reporting – Preparing Risk Reports based on analysed information to apprise leadership and teams
Stakeholder engagement – Collaborating with internal colleagues to support the researching and writing of OCO’s Risk Reports, and updating leadership to promote its positive engagement.
Training and development – Supporting OCO teams to improve skills and practice about all aspects ranging from information planning to reporting. Maintain awareness of innovation to ensure implementation of latest techniques and tactics, best practice, and information relevant to the role.
Content Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments on potentially violating online content, taking swift and decisive regulatory action to address harmful online material.
Embrace the challenge: This role demands weekend on-call duty at least once a month. Your dedication will be instrumental in upholding the safety of Singapore's digital space.

Your Profile:
Educational Background: Background from Humanities, Mass Communications, Computer or Legal Studies.
Experience: Bring your expertise from online safety research, technology policy or operations-related role in either the private or public sectors.
Passion for Online Safety: Demonstrate a strong interest in online safety and possess a deep knowledge of how online platforms operate, including social media services, app stores, and online video games.
Advantageous Experience: Strong data analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. Able to use evidence-driven methods to gather insights, and make well-founded decisions based on thorough analysis.

You may be exposed to graphic content not limited to Minor Safety, Suicide and Self Harm, Violent Extremism and Bullying so your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role is essential. A writing or research piece sample during the interview stage may be requested from the candidate.
