The Role: Risk Data Analyst
As a Risk Data Analyst, you will play a key role in protecting the organization from financial, operational, and strategic risks. You will serve as the technical bridge between raw data and actionable business intelligence — analyzing complex datasets to identify potential threats, assess their impact, and enable data-driven decision-making across the company. This position is essential for proactively managing risk and preventing losses.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
Execute company-wide data strategies by analyzing diverse datasets, including financial statements, operational logs, and market trends. Identify existing risks, detect emerging threats, and uncover patterns of financial crime. Your analysis will be critical in identifying areas where the business may face financial loss or miss strategic opportunities.
Impact Modelling
Develop and maintain advanced risk models to support forecasting and scenario analysis. Quantify the potential financial impact of business decisions or external events, enabling the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) team to evaluate risk appetite and make informed strategic choices.
Dashboards and Reporting
Prepare and present detailed reports and interactive dashboards for the CRO, senior management, and key stakeholders. Visualize key risk indicators, trends, and alerts to provide a clear overview of the company’s risk landscape and support ongoing monitoring of our risk management framework.
Tool Integration and Automation
Enhance our technical risk infrastructure by integrating risk management systems, supporting data workflows, and building automated solutions for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Help ensure our risk detection capabilities are efficient, scalable, and robust.
Transaction Monitoring
Conduct real-time analysis of financial transactions to identify and investigate suspicious activity. Serve as a frontline defense against fraud and financial loss, while generating insights that inform broader risk assessments and model development.

Requirements
Intermediate proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an investigative mindset and excellent attention to detail
Proactive learner with a strong interest in developing expertise in fraud detection, risk management, and data analytics
Comfortable working with large and complex datasets
Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or similar)
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics), or equivalent practical experience
Prior exposure to, or strong interest in, fraud prevention, trust & safety, or risk-scoring systems
