Responsibilities
Risk Detection's team work is to identify and track emerging risks early, understand potential impact, and persuade right internal teams to act early enough to minimize harm or prevent entirely. Risk Detection tracks signals, analyzes information, and helps the company take timely, preventative action. The intelligence we produce is used by Trust & Safety, Platform Responsibility, and senior company leaders — including during moments of crisis.

As a Risk Intelligence Analyst within Trust & Safety, you will play a critical role strengthening TikTok’s global intelligence ecosystem. You’ll identify, collect, and operationalize signals that inform proactive detection and mitigation of risks including emerging threats, coordinated activity, and platform abuse.

This role sits at the intersection of intelligence collection, analysis, and systems design. You will help shape how intelligence flows through TikTok by improving data pipelines, managing external sources, and driving scalable, cross-functional processes that enhance the company’s early-warning and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Drive improvements to how intelligence is collected, analyzed and disseminated in one of the largest and most dynamic internet companies.
- Identify operational gaps, streamline workflows, and automate key elements of the intelligence lifecycle.
- Detect and assess emerging threats, translating intelligence into actionable insights and signals for containment, product and policy teams. Take direct ownership of key intelligence programs end to end.
- Define and maintain collection requirements, ensuring intelligence aligns with TikTok’s highest-priority trust and safety risks.
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate new 1P and 3P intelligence sources across global Trust & Safety.
- Partner with product and data science to strengthen proactive detection and automation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Intelligence, Threat Detection & Analysis, Trust & Safety, Cybersecurity or related field.
- Excellent data literacy with the ability to distil complex information into clear actionable intelligence for diverse stakeholders, and a proven track record of driving outcomes.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Self-driven, thriving under deadlines and in ambiguity with the ability to adapt to but also influence changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL or Python, and familiarity with data automation or dashboarding tools.
- Experience managing 3PI intelligence providers or external data partnerships.
- Familiarity with AI/GenAI tools to enhance collection, clustering, or risk detection.
- Strong understanding of OSINT techniques, adversarial behaviour, and emerging online harms (e.g. VBDA, hate, exploitation, misinformation).
- Experience contributing to intelligence frameworks or risk lifecycle governance models.
