What you’ll do:

We at noon are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Risk Operations Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play an important part in safeguarding the organization by identifying and assessing operational and financial risks. Through strong analytical skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams, the role ensures effective risk controls and overall business resilience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage risk operations related to fraud, abuse, seller misconduct, payments, returns, and order fulfillment
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve risk policies, SOPs, and control frameworks
  • Monitor risk KPIs, trends, and anomalies; investigate root causes and drive corrective actions
  • Partner with Payments, Operations, Customer Support, Legal, and Tech teams to mitigate risk exposure
  • Own escalation management for high-risk cases and critical incidents
  • Build, coach, and manage a risk operations team, ensuring high performance and compliance
  • Balance risk mitigation with customer and seller experience, ensuring minimal friction
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies relevant to the Egyptian market
  • Prepare regular risk reports and dashboards for senior management
  • Investigate fraud cases, banned accounts, order confirmation, and negative wallet balances using payment tools and CRM systems, ensuring compliance with security protocols
  • Investigate high-risk orders, chargebacks, returns, and disputes, ensuring timely resolution
  • Monitor and analyze transactions, customer behavior, and operational data to detect fraudulent or suspicious activity
  • Automate reporting processes, reduce preparation time and enhance decision- making.
  • Extract and analyze data to identify trends and irregularities, providing actionable insights to senior management
  • Designed and maintained pivot table-based reports to monitor operational metrics and detect potential risks
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Payments, Logistics, and Compliance teams to resolve escalated risk-related cases


What you'll need:

  • 3+ years of experience in risk operations, fraud operations, compliance, or trust & safety, preferably in e-commerce, fintech, or marketplaces
  • Proven experience leading operational teams
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce risk domains (payments, COD, returns, refunds, seller abuse, logistics-related fraud)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to operate in fast-paced environments
  • Experience working in large-scale e-commerce or marketplace platforms is preferred
  • Familiarity with fraud detection tools, rule engines, and case management systems is preferred but not required
  • Experience in Egypt or MENA market operations and regulations is preferred
