Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
1 year of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Experience in SQL (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce).

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
1 year of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.
1 year of experience with machine learning systems.
Experience with fraud and abuse in online platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Scaled Abuse Analyst, you will be solving technological challenges and setting scalable standards in the ever-evolving impersonation space.

Responsibilities

Apply advanced statistical methods to data sets to understand impact of abuse to the YouTube ecosystem. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for abuse prevention and enforcement.
Learn technical concepts and systems and deliver meaningful results using them. Communicate technical results and methods clearly.
Identify product vulnerabilities and abuse trends by performing investigations using various data sources. Contribute strategy and development of new workflows against additional known vectors of abuse.
Collaborate with stakeholders and partners in engineering, product, policy and legal to drive anti-abuse solutions involving and impacting various cross-functional areas.
